The Young Creator who put the Harmonica Back on Stage
Ariel Bart is a chromatic harmonica player and a rising star in the Israeli jazz and music scene. Bart returned to Israel after graduating with honors in jazz studies at the prestigious New School in New York.
Two years ago, her debut album, In Between, was released in which she recorded original compositions in an unconventional blend of harmonica, cello, piano, bass, and drums. Her second album Documentaries is anticipated to be released shortly.
Alongside performances with her ensemble, Bart is collaborating with artists such as William Parker, Miki Gavrielov, and even as a soloist in the East-West Jerusalem Orchestra.
Bart is accompanied by an Israeli ensemble, starring the brilliant cellist Mayo Shebiru and one of the most respected drummers of the younger generation, Ofri Nehemya.
